How to choose a coat rack

Height

Hang the rack so the hooks sit about 160–180 cm from the floor, lower in a children’s room. Leave space above it for hats.

Width

Allow about 10–15 cm of rack per coat. A family hallway usually needs one hook per person plus two for guests.

Fixing

Screw it into studs or use plugs made for your wall: plasterboard, brick and concrete each need a different fixing.
